Whole-House Carbon Filtration
Whole-home carbon system that removes chlorine, taste, odor, and sediment from city water at the main line.
About
Clean Water For Everyone
Our approach
Water Filtration 1 installs and services residential and commercial water treatment across Mobile and Baldwin County, Alabama — whole-house filtration, water softeners, well-water systems, under-sink reverse osmosis, UV disinfection, and the storm-prep work that comes with living on the Gulf Coast.
Water on this side of the bay is chloraminated municipal supply; on the other side, much of Baldwin County draws private wells with iron, sulfur, and shallow brackish intrusion. Those are different problems with different fixes. We test what's actually coming out of your tap before we recommend any equipment, and we don't suggest more system than the water in front of us calls for.
The catalog is wide on purpose — point-of-use cartridges through full multi-stage well systems — so the answer to a given home or business is the right answer for that water profile, not the only product we happen to sell.
Where we work
We serve every city and unincorporated community in Mobile County and Baldwin County, Alabama — Mobile, Daphne, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Bay Minette, Saraland, Semmes, and the rural footprint between them. Coverage is built city by city around the water problems each one actually has.
Most-installed systems
Three of the systems we put in most often — one for city water, one for hard water, one for drinking water at the kitchen sink. The full catalog covers everything else.
Whole-home carbon system that removes chlorine, taste, odor, and sediment from city water at the main line.
Removes calcium and magnesium via ion exchange so soap lathers, fixtures don't scale, and laundry feels softer.
A point-of-use system at the kitchen sink that strips dissolved solids, PFAS, lead, and chlorine.
Local crew, local trucks, local water — no national-chain dispatch between you and the work.

Kim Kliner
Office
Water Filtration 1 is owned and run by Rene Pollet. The business he built is a professional water filtration company in the plainest sense: diagnose the specific issue — hardness, chlorine, or another contaminant the test surfaces — then install the specific system that addresses it, for a home or a business. Diagnosis first, equipment second, in that order on every job.
That order is also why the free in-home test opens every customer relationship: the recommendation starts from your water's numbers, read in front of you, not from a catalog default.
Our lead technician is Matthew Sosienski, a Licensed Master Plumber. Plumbing-critical work — well pump service above all — is performed under his supervision, and the same standard follows every tie-in we make to a home's main line.
And when you call, it's Kim who answers — scheduling, paperwork, and insurance certificates all live with her.
How we operate
Every visit starts with a water test, not a sales pitch. We look at pH, hardness, iron, chlorine, TDS, and any contaminants relevant to your source — and we show you the numbers before we say a word about equipment.
If the test shows your water is fine, we tell you that. If it shows a problem, we recommend the minimum system that addresses it — not the most expensive item in the catalog.
