Reverse osmosis is the drinking-water answer when a cartridge filter is not enough. Water is pushed through a membrane fine enough to reject dissolved contaminants that pitcher and fridge filters pass straight through, and it comes out of a dedicated faucet at your kitchen sink.
This one is tankless. Older RO systems store finished water in a pressure tank that takes up half the cabinet; this unit makes water on demand, so the space under the sink stays usable. It is the Aqua Flo CRO-800UX6, built by Hydrotech, with an 800 gallon-per-day membrane.

A thin-film composite RO membrane with salt rejection of at least 93.6% reduces PFAS, lead and other dissolved solids that ordinary carbon cartridges do not.
An 800 GPD membrane delivers up to 0.62 gallons per minute to the faucet, with no storage tank taking up the cabinet.
It runs at about 2 gallons of purified water for every 1 gallon sent to drain, with 65% recovery.
A built-in leak detector shuts the unit off and sounds an alarm, and a filter-life indicator tells you when one of the two quick-change cartridges is due.
