PFAS Removal System

PFAS are dissolved at concentrations measured in parts per trillion, which puts them beyond taste, smell, and ordinary filtration. Two technologies have the track record at residential scale: reverse osmosis membranes, and carbon-block systems certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for PFOA/PFOS reduction. We install both; the right one depends on the tap count and the water.

A generic carbon pitcher is not a PFAS strategy — certification to the specific standard is what separates marketing from reduction. That distinction is the entire buying decision, and it is verifiable on the certification listing rather than the box copy.

This is a live question in Mobile because MAWSS detections in 2022 ran above the EPA advisory. The honest sequence: confirm what your tap actually carries, then size certified treatment to it — point-of-use RO for the drinking line, or certified carbon where whole-line coverage is the goal.
