Refrigerator & Icemaker Line Filtration

The refrigerator's water line is a long, thin run that ends in ice and chilled water — and an in-line filter dedicated to that run polishes chlorine taste and fine sediment right before the point of use, where it does the most sensory good.

The little cartridge inside the fridge door is a taste filter with a short life, and most chloramine-flavored-ice complaints outlive it. A proper in-line unit ahead of the appliance has more media, lasts longer, and protects the icemaker's small valves as well as the flavor.
